Our clients’ London building structures division has an opportunity for a senior structural engineer. This is a key role to oversee design and delivery, whilst working closely with clients and developers. Their growing workload has resulted in a strong order book for 2020, providing the conditions to progress your career whilst working on prestigious projects. New commercial, residential and industrial/ technology projects feature heavily within their portfolio. Their work spans high value low, medium and high-rise projects. There will be regular collaboration with leading architects and their in-house civil engineering team.
Strong interpersonal skills are required to manage junior engineers and technicians, and to forge productive relationships with clients, whilst co-ordinating with other engineering disciplines. Reporting to the London based Structures Director you will provide input at fee negotiation and client advisory stages. You will go on to provide scheme design and manage detail design production. You should be a degree qualified civil or structural engineer with reinforced concrete and steel design expertise.
Knowledge of industry standard design and analysis software is essential, Fastrak and Tekla is currently licenced. BIM is used company-wide, from concept stages through to completion. If you are not already a chartered civil or structural engineer, you should be working towards chartership. The practice has a reputation for training and development and provides IStructE and ICE approved training.
