Overview
A structural engineer is required by our client, one of the UK’s leading loss adjusters within the property sector. This is an opportunity to apply your existing expertise within a buoyant sector that will open up career options within the insurance industry.
You will be providing advice throughout the East Anglia region, focused at the front end of the diagnosis of structural and foundation faults, moving on to providing advice on repairs and mitigation. Completion of construction work is overseen by a team of surveyors who you will provide technical support to.
The role is largely home based with visits to commercial and residential properties to carry out diagnostic work. There will be regular video conferences with your regional manager, surveyors and adjusters. The company has well established IT infrastructure to efficiently support working from home, you will be equipped with phone, iPad and laptop and their IT support team is on hand to provide support.
A background in structural design within buildings, or civil structures is required. This should include some site supervision or survey/ investigation experience. You should be incorporated or chartered with the Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers, or an equivalent body. Candidates who are on the cusp of chartership will also be considered.
