The practice employs 160 staff internationally with expertise in civil engineering, construction, architecture, M&E, electronics, fire prevention, automotive, shipping, environmental, power and energy. Their experts are drawn directly from their respective industries and operate throughout their UK and overseas offices. They are engaged by property developers, client organisations, government agencies, local authorities, legal firms, insurers, loss adjusters, utilities and manufacturers. The company is admired as an employer, terms and conditions of employment are generous and investment in staff is high.

Profile Required: An MSc or MEng qualified geotechnical engineer with a consulting background. You should be working at senior engineer / project engineer level or above, and have  design, ground investigation, assessment, remediation and site based experience. You will need to be technically focused with a strong academic background and have good lateral thinking and communication skills. It would be advantageous that you are either chartered, or have plans to become chartered.

Duties: Investigation of the cause and origin of geotechnical / ground engineering defects, through to catastrophic failures in the UK and internationally.  During initial site investigations you will typically oversee field testing, gather photographic evidence and interview witnesses. You will then go on to unravel the cause of the failure and  prepare a report detailing your findings. Your work will be used to resolve legal disputes, claims and to improve standards.
