Overview

A position focused on building projects requiring a mix of technical and practical expertise. Our client is independently owned, international civil and structural consultancy. Their London office has a workload focused on complex, predominantly high-rise projects.

Your Role: To provide value engineering input to optimise design, construction sequences, improve buildability, delivery and enhance overall profitability whilst upholding safety and quality standards. You will work closely with developers, contractors and external consultants and provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.

The Company: Employee owned and specialising in civil and structural engineering, this practice employs 500 technical professionals internationally and has been trading for over forty years. They have a strong technical capability and a reputation for tackling large and complex projects in the building, transportation, water & environmental and industrial sectors.

Experience Required; Chartered or incorporated engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), or similar body. An appreciation of how structural designs impact practical buildability issues is vital. Experience of building or industrial structures should include a background in design and analysis that should include steel and concrete. Good interpersonal and client facing skills are essential, as is the ability to supervise and manage junior staff.
