Overview
Carve out a career in tunnel engineering and work on HS2 with a leading consultancy and global leader in tunnel and underground structures engineering. This is an opportunity to build upon your existing engineering expertise and gain invaluable on the job experience on one of the world’s largest civil engineering projects. You would be joining a firm with a reputation for conceiving, designing and managing the construction of complex tunnelling projects that utilise NATM and TBM construction methods. Their ability to work with challenging ground conditions means their expertise is in steady demand and they regularly appear on expert review panels. They work on major projects with particular focus on hydro, rail and highways.
Experience required: They are looking a bright engineer with a 2:1 or above in civil engineering and between one and two years consulting engineering exposure. Your existing experience should include underground structures or tunnel design. You should be a graduate member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and be prepared to work towards chartership and further career progression. Good team working and lateral thinking skills are essential.
