Overview
An opportunity for degree qualified civil or structural engineer with two or more years’ civil/structural design experience to work for a prestigious operating company and to gain support and experience to achieve chartered status. You will join a team of engineers managing a range of new and maintenance projects on a substantial operating site with extensive infrastructure that includes roads, bridges, pavements, drainage, buildings, and specialist logistics facilities. This is a career that will develop your design and project management skills.
With the support of a senior chartered civil engineer and alongside their in-house engineering and inspection team you will be involved in the specification, design and supervision of new, improvement and maintenance projects covering roads, drainage, bridge /development infrastructure and a variety of building structures.
About you: A degree qualified civil or structural engineer. Design experience in building structures or civil structures. Two or more years’ design experience, ideally with some site experience. Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders. A full UK driving licence.
Duties: Assisting with the preparation of contract documentation and specifications, liaison with external consultants and the management of appointed contractors. You will be involved in the detailed design of smaller projects. A varied workload will include specialist capital projects as well as planned and reactive maintenance schemes.
Training: you will be mentored by a chartered civil engineer to achieve chartered status and the company’s in-house training division will ensure you receive the training and experience to develop professionally and progress your career.
