Overview
An opportunity for an MCIOB / ACIOB, or equivalently qualified professional offering a change of emphasis and career progression. Our client works within power distribution and renewables, they have a full order book in a sector that will provide strong demand over the next ten years and beyond. The position would suit a building professional who wants to work in a buoyant sector offering working flexibility and career growth.
The company: A limited liability partnership employing over two hundred staff throughout the UK. They are one of the longest established firms in their sector with expertise covering building, construction, conservation, property, expert witness, land development, engineering and surveying.
Your role: Reporting to the partner in charge of the civil and structural division, your focus will be on pre-construction, programming and “buildability”. There will be regular site visits typically along the Thames valley area. Your base will be their Oxford office, however their hybrid working policy provides flexibility to work from home. You will work closely with clients and your civil and structural engineering colleagues. You will also provide guidance as they adopt the NEC4 form of contact.
Profile Required: An MCIOB or ACIOB qualified professional with at least six years’ experience. You should have worked as a site manager / agent, design co-ordinator or in a similar capacity. Your project experience should include buildings or developer led infrastructure and the use of the NEC form of contract. Good interpersonal and organisational skills are essential for this role, you will need the ability to forge lasting, productive relationships with clients and colleagues.
