Overview

This well established consulting practice designs elegant, high quality building structures with an emphasis on value and client care. They are a medium size civil & structural consultancy, well regarded for their technical expertise. Their London office is currently working on complex refurbishment and new build projects in the commercial, leisure and residential sectors and their workload is growing.

They are looking for a chartered civil (MICE) or structural (MIStructE) engineer, or equivalent, to join their management team. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone at senior or project engineer level to move up to a position with further career advancement. You will oversee design production, supervise junior engineers and technicians and take charge of project delivery from client consultation and concept stages through to completion of detail design. Good communication and team working skills are essential. It is important that you are well organised and capable of winning the confidence and respect of your staff and your clients.

Alongside the head of structures, you will provide front-end design advice to clients, develop concept designs, negotiate fees and programme work. You will also assist in the development of new business, recruitment of engineering staff and quality management.
