Gain experience working on advanced building structures whilst training to become a chartered engineer. Our client is known for high-profile international projects that require engineering innovation. Working in their London office will mean being close to many of their UK projects and the architects who design them. They are looking for a degree qualified civil or structural engineer with experience gained in a building structures consulting environment. Each of the buildings you and your project team mates work on will provide unique challenges and you will be included in the whole design process. Under the direction of an associate you will carry out detail design, make site visits and be introduced to the architectural counterparts you will be collaborating with. You will design in all the commonly used materials with an emphasis on steel and concrete, It is not unusual for them to use glass, composites and timber. Their projects are varied, whilst they are well known for tall building design it is their talent for a broad range of elegant and practical designs that has earned them industry respect. Their portfolio to date includes sports stadia, corporate headquarters, residential, arts, hotel, bridges, retail and commercial buildings. You will receive training to achieve chartership with the ICE or IStructE. The office environment is vibrant, supportive and sociable and there is a programme of on-going CPD activities.
