Overview
Swift career progression, training and work on prestigious major projects is on offer with this leading multidiscipline design and management consultancy. This progressive practice is comprised of structural engineers, architects, civil engineers, M&E engineers and project managers. The structural engineering division works closely with in-house architects and is engaged by leading external architects. This is an opportunity for a structural engineer with four or more years’ experience to develop their technical expertise whilst gaining management experience on major projects. These will typically be high and medium rise commercial and residential schemes throughout the UK.
With the support and mentorship of a structures associate you will be involved in design and delivery of projects, predominantly in steel and concrete. To ensure your development you will be included in the whole design process, enabling you to progress quickly to a more senior position. You will be responsible for supervising junior engineers and technicians and have regular contact with clients and architects. You will frequently work on projects where the firm has provided fully integrated architectural, civil and structural design. This will require the ability to forge productive working relationships with colleagues and clients. Good communication and interpersonal skills are vital.
The company has an excellent industry reputation for providing elegant, cost effective designs, and as a quality employer that invests in employee development. Consequently, it retains a roster of prestigious clients and maintains healthy fee margins. The company runs IStructE and ICE approved training and provides a highly resourced modern working environment.
