This is a career opportunity for an AutoCAD technician with civil / structural or construction industry experience. Our client, a major client organisation operates a complex site covering 1.5 square miles. They have constantly ongoing work developing and improving upon their extensive roads, bridges, drainage, office buildings & industrial buildings and heavy civil engineering assets. You will be a key member of their eighty strong engineering division involved in preparing general arrangement and tender drawings and managing a library archive of over 40,000 drawings and helping to deliver new projects and asset improvement and maintenance programmes There will be close co-ordination with civil & structural, M&E, survey and inspection staff and you will report directly to the engineering team leader.

You will need to be qualified to HNC level or above with a background preparing civil or structural AutoCAD drawings. This experience could have been gained with a consulting firm, contractor, client organisation or public sector body. This move to the client side of the industry will enable you to develop your expertise working on a breadth of new and refurbishment projects and to take on more responsibility.
