Overview
A chartered civil or structural engineer with strong design and management skills is required by a busy in-house engineering and management team, overseeing building and infrastructure on a major operating site covering one and a half square miles. They have ongoing work developing and improving their extensive estate, which includes roads, bridges, drainage, office buildings & industrial buildings and heavy civil engineering assets. As a senior member of their division you will be responsible for design, design specification, tendering and supervision for a breadth new and improvement schemes. There will be close co-ordination with M&E, survey and inspection staff and you will report directly to the engineering team leader.
Your experience should have been gained working within the consulting or contracting sectors and you should be a chartered or incorporated civil (MICE) or structural (MIStructE) engineer or equivalent (or approaching chartered status). This move to the client side of the industry will enable you to develop your management expertise and broaden your experience.
